Hi! My name is Ms. Mevs, and I will be your teacher this year. I am so excited to be your teacher for the 2012-2013 school year. I live in the Miami Florida with my dog Peanut Butter. I know Peanut Butter is a very weird name for a dog! A little bit about Peanut Butter, he is the best dog in the whole world! We love to play outside and go swimming. My favorite things to do are writing, reading, walking and cooking.
Our classroom will be an amazing place where we live learn and grow together as a class. To keep our classroom as wonderful as possible we will be using the green, yellow, red behavior plan in our classroom. Each day every student begins on the green light. After a student is not following directions or misbehaves they get a warning and are placed on the yellow light. If the behavior continues then they are moved to the red light and will get a phone call home. Throughout the day, if the students' behavior changes, they can move up or down the behavior system.
Homework will be a very important part of the class. Students will be given a homework packet each week to complete. On Friday you will turn in your homework packet to be graded. Every two weeks there will be a book report due.
